	RAMBLIN’ with Helen...

My visit this month is going to be very short – don't really have a lot of news, and for the past three weeks I have been sick with a very “nasty bug” which has really taken my “get-up-and-go” away, but am beginning to feel some better.

When Joanne Baxter sent in her renewal, she said her good friend is retiring, so hopes they can make the festival, and she has been enjoying ron & Nancy OneSong's “Pickin In the Parlor” Jams on Sat. evenings.

Sharon Foultz's daughter Melinda came thru her surgery fine, as did Ted Wrench who had a total knee replacement on 4/30 and was home on 5/4 doing fine.

Bruce Cutler called to say he and Connie will be celebrating their 31 st Wedding Anniversary in Nashville on June 6 th , and on Sun. June 10 th , Connie will be singing in the Music City Christian Fellowship Choir at Fan Fare.

It was so good to see Bert Mehlenbacher at our May meeting, and he reports that Alice is doing fairly well, and he is joining her on June 1 st at 200 Kidd Castle Way , Webster , NY . 14580. He had a good winter, but really missed the “Boss”, and I'm sure the same went for her too, Bert. I know they would enjoy a card or note if you would take the time to send one.

At our May meeting, Frank Szabo was made an Honorary Member of CNYBA – an honor he so richly deserves. As you can see by the news item on page 3, big changes are in the making for CNYBA – yours truly wishes the association the best as they materialize.

Last month, I neglected to mention those who sent donations, so the following will catch me up to date: Dennis Crawford, John Peterson, Frank & Joyce Howlett, Albert and Ann DeForge, Robert Wright, Bert & Alice Mehlenbacher and Roland & Catherine Roloson. Thanks so much folks, it all helps, and also a big thank-you to Joseph Zecher for the book of “Forever” Stamps.

Our Annual CHRISTMAS PARTY will be held at the LaFayette Applevalley Country Club, at the cost of $18.00 per person. It was suggested to consider using local bands, especially those who are members of our association.

Don't forget our PICNIC on Sun., June 10 th at Mercer Park in Baldwinsville, and our FESTIVAL Aug. 2 nd thru 5 th . Order your ADVANCE TICKETS NOW… I hope each of you have a very happy, healthy and fun-filled summer.
