Membership Notes

We have received word that Butch Hurrin, a former member of Bristol Mountain Bluegrass Band, passed away on August 16, 2015. Some of you will remember him. Butch played bass and fiddle. Our prayers go out to his family and friends.

We have received word that Carol Jeannin, long time member of CNYBA, died in December of 2014. We are so sorry to hear this and send our prayers to her family. Condolence cards can be sent to her husband, Bob Jeannin, at PO Box 1795, Zephyr Hills, FL 33539-1795

Henry "Hank" Wells, is at home recovering from recent surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. He and his wife, Helen, have been frequent participants at many CNYBA events for many years. Hank plays old time fiddle and banjo. Helen plays a DeNeve resonator guitar. They are a beloved couple! Update: it was great to see Hank and Helen at the Bluegrass Ramble Picnic. Hank was wandering around, looking good, and jamming on his banjo.

Cards can be sent to Henry Wells at 7302 E. Keeney Rd, Cuyler NY 13158.

Many CNYBA members know Peter McDonald. A founding member of the Finger Lakes Bluegrass Association, Peter also maintained membership in the CNYBA. His band, featuring his daughter, Rebecca Colleen, is the host band of the Brantling Bluegrass Festival and has often played at CNY events. The July 26 benefit in his honor was very well attended by his family and friends and enjoyed by all. Peter got to talk to everyone and even played the fiddle with his daughter!

If you couldn't make the event but would still like to send Peter a note, the address is:
P.O. Box 802,
Seneca Falls, NY  13148
